2nd Annual - #MESrocks Day - March 30, 2019
Bring your gloves, rakes, shovels & a can-do attitude and join us for a family fun day of hard work that will help our school look INCREDIBLE!
Our Efforts Will Focus On:
Planting trees/plants/flowers, putting out pine straw, spreading mulch and more.
We will be lighting up the grill for some burgers & hot dogs for those that come help out!
Support the Cause - Ms. Janousek is looking to expand her container garden!
Parent/Student/Teacher Conference - Entire Month of March
The month of March is our second opportunity of the year to have official parent conferences. I encourage you to begin scheduling these opportunities now, please know that while March 18, 2019 is scheduled for a "Teacher Workday" - You are welcome to use this opportunity conference with parents. There will be no meetings on this day that would otherwise pull you away from scheduling the entire day with conferences if you wish. We have talked about student-led conferences in the past, some of you all have ventured down this route with success. For those of you that are still unsure of the process and exactly how it would play out, I encourage you to use FlipGrid and have students pre-record parts of their conference that you feel parents would find helpful and beneficial. I encourage you to have students answer the following questions:
- What do you feel are your strengths?
- What do you feel are areas of growth?
- What is your favorite part about school?
- What is your least favorite part about school?
- What is the one thing you are most proud of accomplishing this school year?
- What can your parents do to help you be the best you can be at school?
2nd Annual EdCamp Bryan

EdCamp Bryan is an awesome way for teachers to connect & share innovative & inspiring best practices with one another! We hope to have all schools represented in Bryan County and also teachers from other counties. At EdCamp, you will learn from talented & engaging educators! We are also grateful to our community sponsors who are ensuring that teachers leave EdCamp not only with amazing ideas and instruction, but also resources, prizes, & professional learning literature!
*Interested in attending, how about being able to use a 1/2 day leave the next teacher workday in exchange for attendance/participation at EdCamp? Register and see me (B. Miller) if you are interested in pursuing this opportunity!
