Intro
On this Flyer you are going to learn about Nutrition and Fitness. You are going to learn how to stay healthy by eating right and by exercising. Nutrition is very important because if you don’t eat healthy foods you are at risk of getting diabetes and other diseases. Physical fitness is also very important because if you don't exercise then you are at risk of becoming overweight or obese. When you're overweight or obese it is uncomfortable to do everyday activities and may even cause death.

Who Gets It?
Is this disease or condition genetic? Is it inherited from your family?
Yes obesity can be genetic. Obesity can be directly caused by diseases like Bardet-Biedl syndrome and Prader-Willi syndrome. It is also caused by eating too much
Who is at greatest risk?
People who are at greatest risk of becoming obese are non-hispanic white women and hispanic men.
Where is this disease or condition commonly found? (Specific countries; specific locations, ie:cities, farms, factories, etc.)
Obesity is most common in the U.S.A. because of all the fast food restaurants, fast paced lifestyle and processed foods.
How is it Diagnosed?
Is it fatal? How can you Cure it?

1.70% of Americans are overweight or obese
2.Most people have to do 300 minutes of physical activity a week (moderate intensity) to meet their weight control goals.
3. What you eat affects the risk of you getting heart disease or a stroke. Heart attacks are the #1 killer in American women and men.
4.Over the past 30 years obesity has tripled in children.
5. 1 and 6 children ages 2-19 are obese
6.The CDC (Center For Disease Control) does not list obesity as a cause of death. Instead it list heart disease, which can be caused by Obesity.
7. Exercise builds brain power
8. Fitness gets rid of Stress.
9. Children and teens should get at least 60 minutes of exercise every day
10. Adults 18-65 years old should get at least30 minutes of exercise everyday.
