Principal Notes:

Dear Cimarron Familes,

It is always exciting honor to welcome all of our new and returning students to Cimarron Middle School. For as many years that I have been in education, I still feel the excitement and nervousness of the first day. At Cimarron, we are committed to building relationships with every student. We would also like to extend a warm Cimarron welcome to all of our new students and families from around the country and state who have joined our Cimarron community! Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Back to School Event On August 6th. This was a great opportunity for us to come together with the shared goal of student growth and achievement.

Students and staff have had a great time getting to know each other as they build the relationships necessary for a successful year. Our theme at Cimarron this year "All In". We are encouraging all teachers and students to adopt this motto of being "All In".

In the upcoming weeks Cimarron will be taking part in magazine sales ! By participating, you can help us continue our tradition of excellence in meeting the needs of every student! This fundraiser will begin with an assembly. There will also be prizes for students and teams along the way! Please watch our website, email communication and Facebook page for more information regarding this great opportunity to support our students!

Thank you for a great start to the school year!

New Lunch Program

Cimarron, along with one other DCSD middle school, are piloting a new lunch program. This program will be based on the high school model of having multiple options for lunch. With this option, there are many snacks that go along with the main meal, such as ice cream products. You can monitor what your student is eating on My School Bucks to make sure they are getting an appropriate meal and budgeting how much they spend. If you would like to have restriction or limits on the lunch account. Please email Paula Wilson at If you have special diet please email Amy Caricy at
