School Visitors and Volunteers
Hello, Valued Members of our TVUSD Community,
Intro
We are very excited to welcome volunteers to our sites beginning March 15, 2022. However, we must do this in a way that ensures we are following state and county protocols, which includes monitoring/tracking important information of volunteers on our campus. If you are interested in volunteering, we would love to have you support our students’ and staff's needs. Volunteers will need to complete the application process through the Raptor System - linked here. Please continue to read below for further details on the process. We appreciate your patience as we transition to this new system for processing our volunteers. We are excited to welcome you back and greatly appreciate our community’s support.
Requirements
You may upload documents for items #1 and #2 via our electronic application through our Raptor system (linked here), or you may submit them in person. Items #3 and #4 must be submitted in person.
A copy of your driver’s license
Completion of two very important documents related to student safety; they include a) the form for a background check in accordance with Penal Code 290.95 (Megan’s Law), which is linked here, as well as b) the Volunteer Code of Conduct form, also linked here.
COVID-19 Vaccination Record (submit in person). Please know that the District, in accordance with guidelines and mandates from the California Department of Public Health, is mandated to collect either a) proof of vaccination or b) a recent COVID-19 test prior to the volunteer event. Please be aware that state agencies have defined “fully vaccinated” as two weeks from having received both doses in a two-dose series of vaccinations or one-dose in a one-dose vaccination.
Proof of TB Testing/Screening (submit in person)
Please rest assured your documents will be filed in a secure manner. For any questions or concerns related to the volunteer requirements, including the mandated required documents to be collected, please email volunteers@tvusd.us.
COVID-19 Testing
The District provides COVID-19 testing free of charge to our parent community members. For volunteers who are unvaccinated or do not share their vaccination status, proof of a negative COVID-19 test will be accepted. This test must be from a verified healthcare facility and must be dated within 7 days of your volunteer day. Home tests are not acceptable for this requirement. Please contact Health Services to schedule an appointment at (951) 294-6050.
TB Screening
The District can also provide TB screening as part of this process. For questions, please contact our Health Services Division at healthservices@tvusd.us.
