Parent Email Addresses for PTA Room Rep
Our PTA room representatives will be coordinating a variety of activities this year that will provide camraderie for our students and will help support our school PTA. To help make these activities successful, they need to be able to get in touch with the parents of students in our class. Please contact your child's homeroom teacher by the end of the week (Friday, September 4th) to let us know if you DO NOT want us to release your email address to our PTA room representatives. If we do not hear from you by Friday, then we will assume you don't mind if we share your email addresses with the PTA room reps. Please note that the PTA room reps will keep your contact information private and will only contact you regarding matters related to our class and the PTA.

We also utilize a service called Remind throughout the course of the year in an attempt to make your life as a parent just a little bit easier. With Remind, we can send you one way texts with time sensitive reminders or last minute schedule changes (for example, "Picture Day tomorrow!", or "Field Trip on Friday; please fill out permission slip if you haven't done so") that are beneficial for you to know. To subscribe to the service, text @eddyweltz to the number 81010. If you have trouble using the 81010 number, text @eddyweltz to (562) 246-8878. Texts will be limited in frequency, but you may unsubscribe at any time by replying with "unsubscribe @eddyweltz". For more info regarding Remind, see the link below.
Weekly memos will be sent via email as well. If your address changes, please let us know so we can keep our records current.
Bring Your Own Technology Permission Form
Students that wish to participate in the BYOT/BYOD initiative must sign a contract BEFORE bringing devices to school. The contract will be sent home the first week of school. For more information, please refer to the contract or contact either Mrs. Weltzin or Mrs. Eddy. If you'd like to print out the contract at home and send it in, it is accessible via the link below.
Please check out this list of apps that we will be using throughout the school year. For students participating in BYOT, it is strongly encouraged to install these apps at home now so they are ready to be used in class this year.
