The mission of Beaver Ridge Elementary School is to develop life long learners achieving academic and personal excellence.
The vision of Beaver Ridge Elementary is to be a community of empowered and productive lifelong learners.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Summer can be the best time of the year to spend quality time with family and friends. However, we've missed hearing and seeing our students! Excitement is building up at Beaver Ridge Elementary as we prepare to welcome them back our students. We are also ready to meet and cheer on our youngest Pre-K and Kindergartners.
Our staff and I are currently attending workshops and planning for a successful 2022-2023 school year. Nonetheless, the health and safety of our students is just as important as their academic success. Please know that our outstanding custodial staff are making sure the building is clean, sanitized, and ready for back-to-school. As expected of all Gwinnett County Public Schools, we will continue to use a layered mitigation strategy (promoting vaccination for those who are eligible, continuing use of enhanced ventilation practices, promoting proper respiratory etiquette and encouraging regular handwashing, emphasizing the need for individuals to stay home if they are sick, continuing our Health Response Teams process, and continuing with cleaning and disinfecting practices in schools and on buses). These practices will help to promote healthy and safe practices for our students, families, staff, and visitors.
This year, Meet Your Teacher Day will be in-person on July 28 starting at 8:00 am and ending at 11:30 am. We will be placing homeroom lists on our school courtyard windows on July 27 in the afternoon. The information will also be available on the Parent Portal. When you arrive for Meet Your Teacher Day, you will be able to go straight to your child’s homeroom.
On Meet Your Teacher Day, I want to invite parents, guardians, and family members to partner with our school via the PTA or the Local School Council. Don't forget to visit the PTA table and join. Working in partnership, we will make 2022-2023 an amazing school year!
I am honored to be your principal and am excited about this upcoming school year.
See you at Meet Your Teacher Day!

School Supply List
- We understand that this year is especially challenging for parents economically. We are committed to providing your child with the materials and resources needed to be successful for the school year.
- An additional list of recommended school supplies can be found on our website as well as in this newsletter. If you are unable to purchase all or any of the items on the list, it will not impact your child's success in school.
- Students will need to bring personal (inexpensive) headphones to wear when they work independently on their computer.
- The early months of school are hot. We encourage all students to bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.
All Beaver Ridge ES students will have the option to check-out a device for the 22-23 school year. We will begin distribution with our 2-5 grades and then move to our younger grades after we complete Acceptable Technology Use orientation. If you DO NOT want your child to have a device checked out to them, please submit your written request to Principal Martina Luna-Liranzo via email at email@example.com

Immunizations / Health Certificates
By state law, a valid certificate of immunization (Form #3231) or a notarized statement of religious exemption (Form #2208) is required for enrollment. The certificate of immunization must be completed by the health department or your private physician. A valid Form #3231 must be marked with either "Date of Expiration" or as "Complete for School Attendance." (A certificate marked with a "Date of Expiration" expires on the date indicated. A current certificate must be submitted within 30 days of expiration.)
Students can get vaccinations and certificates of immunization from their private physician or at any of the local health department offices.
Additionally, students also must have evidence of vision, hearing, and dental, and nutrition screening obtained in the past year. This information should be on Georgia Form #3300 (rev. 2013), available from the health department or your physician and dentist and dated within the last 12 months.
If your child does not have health insurance or their health plan won’t cover these vaccines, call your local health department and ask about getting no-cost or low-cost vaccines. For more information, visit http://dph.georgia.gov/vaccines-children or call (800) 848-3868.
