Cardinal Courier: Nov. 6th

Where Learning Takes Flight

A Note from Mrs. Tallent

Wow!!! Cardinal County Fair was a blast! It was great seeing families and students interacting and having fun! There were a few times I was able to overhear people introducing themselves to each other which fills my heart with happiness. We have a great community and I love that opportunities like these give even the adults a chance to meet new people! A huge THANK YOU to our PTO and all the volunteers who planned, coordinated, and made this wonderful event come to fruition.

Over the next several weeks we have a few campus events that include our Veterans Day Car Parade, Turkey Trot and Grandparent's Luncheon. Please see the information and details about each event below, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Bike Safety and Security

Over the course of the school year we have unfortunately had several bikes that have been stolen from our bike racks. In order to prevent further incidents we want to encourage all students to place their bikes in the bike racks and secure them with a lock. We have noticed several students who have locks but choose not to use them to secure their bikes.

A Note From a Parent: Looking For Parent Volunteers: Before-School Crossing Guards Needed

Hello! As a parent of a Fall Creek Student who walks to school each morning, I've become aware of the busy intersection at Mesa Drive and Redstone Bend. In hopes to reduce potential dangers to children and parents crossing the street each morning, I'm looking for volunteers who would be interested in filling the role of crossing guard. Shifts would run from approximately 7:15-8:00 AM Monday-Friday. There is no limit to the number of volunteers who can participate! If interested, please contact Chelsea Judd. 480-793-4376 or chelsealynnjudd@gmail.com.

Turkey Trot

Grandparent's Luncheon

Grandparents' Luncheon will be December 2nd (K-2) and December 3rd (3-5). We will have one grade eating with their grandparents at a time. Grandparents will be able to social distance with their grandchild inside or eat outside under our pavilion if they prefer. Students who don't have a grandparent coming will get to eat in their classrooms or have a picnic with their teachers. We try to make this a fun experience for everyone regardless of whether a grandparent comes or not!

Next week we will send home a fast pass for you to fill out to give to your visiting Grandparent! You can help make this event run smoother by checking to make sure your visitor is in the HAC (Home Access Center) at https://eshac.humbleisd.net/homeaccess/account/logon.

If not, contact Mrs. Lopez via phone at 281-641-3403 or via email at
