Junior High Choir Auditions!

Don’t miss an awesome opportunity to be in choir at the Junior High next year! They are looking to add many amazing 6th graders to their choirs. Students do not have singing experience to participate in choir at the Junior High. Deborah Stein and Jesse Callahan, SJH choir directors, will be visiting our 6th grade choirs and General Music classes in the next couple of weeks to provide more information and audition the students. Interested 6th grade students who are NOT in general music/choir this year should audition on Thursday, February 10th from 3:00-3:30 in the choir room at EH Greene.. Students should have transportation to pick them up at 3:30. You may email either Mrs. Stein or Mr. Callahan ( or if you have any additional questions. Go Aviators!

Lost and Found

We want to update you on lost and found. Our wonderful students have been working hard on this project. They have reunited items with students if there were names on them. More items will be added soon. Per our handbook, all items from the lost and found were donated over Winter Break.

They are also building the catalog of lost items. Each item will have a number. So far, students have cataloged about 100 items! You can view the items HERE. If you recognize something, HERE is a form you can use to claim it.

Author Visit - Gordon Korman Book Orders

Award winning author Gordon Korman is our Visiting Author who will be here on February 17th and 18th! In preparation for his visit, we have sent home a book order form with your student. If you would like to order books for your student, please complete the form and send it in with payment to the homeroom teacher by Friday, January 21st. This will insure that the books will be here before Mr. Korman's visit. Also, you will have the opportunity to have the books signed by Mr. Korman. Information on that will be conveyed later.

If your student was absent from school when the forms were sent home, here is a link to the order form.

Flight Crew

Mr. Graulty and the Flight Crew have been working hard to continue to support and model "a school environment where all students wake up inspired to learn and return home knowing they did their best at the end of the day". These past few weeks, the students worked to make a video to share with students and parents with an inspirational and positive message. You can view the video here!

Partner's Club

Partner's Club is canceled for the month of January.

Cincinnati Children's Adapt for Life

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Family Members of Sixth Grade Students,

I’m writing to inform you that facilitators from Cincinnati Children’s Adapt for Life program will be giving a presentation on Wednesday, January 26th to teach students about mental wellness, mental health conditions, and suicide prevention to sixth-grade students.

Research shows suicide is the second leading cause of death among people ages 10-34 years (CDC, 2019). Additionally, the rate of youth suicide (10-24 years) increased 57% over the past decade. Adapt for Life is leading the conversation on mental health to help our children, families, and communities learn skills in mental wellness and curb suicide trends.

Adapt for Life instructs students on the importance of mental wellness and offers healthier behaviors and healthy coping strategies, so students may live their best lives and thrive. Information will be provided to them through various methods such as group activities, mindfulness exercises, videos, individual reflection, and more. The program covers a variety of topics and is structured to accommodate either in-person or remote learning. Engagement begins with student observation and awareness and moves them towards creating a personal plan for tackling stress.

We are fortunate to have the opportunity to bring this program to students. Parents and guardians can contact Lisa Zelvy, Pupil Support Supervisor (contact information below) or Stacey Hoffman, Program Manager for Adapt for Life, at with questions.
