Police Vest Safety

Vest Testing Paco Body Armour
We shot a 380 caliber, Smith & Wesson from 20ft from the vest. The bullet did not go through. The vest we used was a Paco Body Armour police issued vest. Five bullets were shot and they did not go the entire way through. The pictures below show how far the bullet went.
Kevlar & Trauma Plate
The Kevlar stopped 3 of the bullets and the trauma plate stopped 2 of them. the trauma plate is Kevlar woven tightly together to stop the bullets that get passed the Kevlar.
Ways to Make the Vest Safer
I think that they should add an extra trauma plate because they don't weigh much and it stopped the bullets that the Kevlar didn't and if we used a stronger gun it might not have stopped the bullet completely.
What is Kevlar?
Kevlar is a synthetic fiber of high tensile strength used especially as a reinforcing agent in the manufacture of tires and other rubber products and protective gear such as helmets and vest.
