Types of Chemical Reactions
By: Josh Hyche
Chemical Synthesis Reacion
Is a purposeful execution of chemical reactions to obtain a product, or several products.
Decomposition Reaction
is the separation of a chemical compound into elements or simpler compounds
Combustion Reaction
Combustion or burning is the sequence of exothermic chemical reactions between a fuel and an oxidant accompanied by the production of heat and conversion of chemical species.
Single Displacement Reaction
is a type of oxidation-reduction chemical reaction when an element or ion moves out of one compound and into another
Double Displacement Reaction
is a chemical process involving the exchange of bonds between two reacting chemical species
Oxidation-Reduction Reaction
the reductant transfers electrons to the oxidant. Thus, in the reaction, the reductant or reducing agent loses electrons and is oxidized, and the oxidant or oxidizing agent gains electrons and is reduced.
