Letter from the Principal

Dear Lions Park Families,

Thank you all so very much for a WONDERFUL staff appreciation week! Our staff thoroughly enjoyed the messages, cards, kind words, jokes, school supplies, flowers, food, and gifts. It is our pleasure to come to Lions Park each day and work with your children. We are fortunate to work with families as supportive and generous as yours. We want to also thank our PTO and the staff appreciation week chairs Mayte Costales and Tia Wente. They provided the staff with many meals and treats throughout the week with donations from all of you.

This is such an exciting time of year! We look forward to our Spring Book Fair and Fine Arts Night on Wednesday, May 11th. All students will have artwork on display from 5:30-7 pm, and our chorus students will perform at 7 pm. All families can also visit the book fair from 5:30-7 pm. We look forward to highlighting our students' achievements in the fine arts.

We are looking forward to our annual Field Day on May 25th (the rain date of May 26th). This is a fun day of outdoor activities and games. We need parent volunteers for this day. Please sign up at this link. The second and third grades will be in the morning and the fourth and fifth grades will be in the afternoon.

Lions Park would like to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms and to all who play special roles in the lives of our students.

2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR PLANNING

Planning for the 2022-23 school year is underway. If your child will not be returning to Lions Park for the 2022-23 school year, pleas call the school office at (847) 394-7330 or email Mrs. Rizzo at lrizzo@d57.org.

Also, if you have moved during the present (2021-22) school year, please contact the office with the new address information.

5TH GRADE STUDENTS

Lincoln locks are available for purchase through Friday, May 13 at the Lions Park office, see flyer.

REMINDER...After next week the locks will need to be purchased at Lincoln.

Free Lunch and Special Lunch

The PTO will be having special lunch on April 27th and May 18th from Buona Beef. We will still have free lunch on these days. Students are welcome to have both lunches if you wish to purchase a hot lunch and have your child bring home the cold lunch or eat both lunches. If you ordered a free lunch and no longer want it, you can email Mrs. Baghdassarian at jbaghdassarian@d57.org.

MESSAGE FROM NURSE BAUER

Attention 2nd Grade Parents: Dental Exam Reports are due by May 15th.

Thank you to the parents/guardians who have already sent in your Dental Exam Forms. Dental Exam Forms for all 2nd Graders are due by May 15th, 2022. Dental exams after 11/15/20 are acceptable. If needed, please schedule an appointment soon. Please have your dentist complete, date, and sign the district’s Dental Exam Form (see below).
