February 1st - 5th
What Will We Be Learning This Week??
Writing: We will celebrate out poetry writing and share our work with peers.
Phonics/Grammar: We will collect words with prefixes and suffixes. We will practice with prepositional phrases.
Math: We will generate numbers greater or less than a given number. We will compare and order whole numbers up to 1,200 using comparative language and symbols (>,<,=). We will complete our Math MAP test!
Social Studies: We will identify major landforms and bodies of water through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Science: We will measure, record, and graph weather information regarding wind conditions and temperature using the appropriate tools. We will record and organize the data collected in a way that makes sense.

- February 1-14 - Online Book Fair
- February 2nd - PTO Meeting at 6pm
- February 3rd - Math MAP Test
- February 3rd - College Shirt Day

Note from Mrs. Garvin:
During the months of February and March, our counselor will teach all children about personal safety using the “Play it Safe” program. “Play it Safe” is a child abuse awareness and prevention program for children. It teaches children to protect themselves by recognizing, reacting to, and reporting potentially dangerous situations.
