  • We enjoyed all the Red Ribbon Week attire!
  • The Veteran's Day program begins at 9:30 Wednesday, November 11. The PTO is looking for volunteers to help with the event.


We read Nate the Snake is Late and On My Way to School this week. We also read other stories where we practiced the skills of long a and contractions. Our grammar skill was verbs. Next week we will work on long i, plurals, and present tense verbs.

Your child can work on the Raz-Kids website at anytime for more practice on reading comprehension. If you think your child's level is too easy let me know and I can increase the difficulty. The teacher username is: smitchellav

We finished Unit 3 this week. We did our study guide and progress check. Next week we will be working on the following concepts: reading thermometers, nonstandard linear measures, personal foot and standard foot, and inches.

We learned about staying clean and fit. We learned about animal habitats and environments. We learned about staying away from drugs during our red ribbon week lessons on announcements.

Next week we will learn about animal shelters.
