Set Design
Elements and Principles of Design
Line - Horizontal, vertical, diagonal, straight, curved, etc
Shape - 2D, geometric, organic
Form - 3D, geometric, organic
Color - Strenfth of wavelengths of light
Texture - Feel, appearance, thickness or stickiness of a surface
Space - Area around, within, between images or parts of an image

Principles are:
Pattern - Arragnement of alternated or repeated elements
Contrast - Juxtaposition of differnt elements of design
Emphasis - Special attention given to one part of a work of art
Balance - A feeling of balance results when the elements of design are arranged symmetrically to create the impression of equality in weight or importance
Proportion - The relationship between objects with respect to size, numbers, and so on
Harmony - The arrangement of elements to give the viewer the feeling that all the parts of the piece form a coherent whole
Rhythm - The use of recurring elements to direct the movement of the eye through the artwork.
Lighting Design
Lighting is capable of setting the mood and tone for a scene.
Qualities of light are intent site, color, distribution and movement.
Sound Design
Music is also capable of setting the mood and tone of a scene.
You can blend sounds together in order to create a complete emotion and a stronger effect.
Music can foreshadow future events or set expectations for a future event.
Sound effects are typically made from various of objects and can be made from unexpected objects.
Makeup
Some eye makeup consists of eye shadow, mascara, and eyeliner
The most known makeup is lipstick.
Makeup can be used to add textures.
Makeup is used to blend away temporary and permanent imperfections.
Conceal er's can be used to cover tattoos.
Costumes
There are four categories of natural fabric: wool, cotton, silk and linen
Silk is the oldest textile
Linen is stronger than cotton
You have to measure body parts in order to create a costume that can fit the actor
There are techniques for measuring the body parts, some are different between male and female
