Basketball was invented by Dr. James Niasmith in December 1891. Niasmith was born on November 6, 1861 in Almonte, Canada. He died November 28, 1939 in Lawrence, Kansas. James coached at the University of Kansas 1998 to 1907. Basketball is a team sport. Teams usually have 12 to 14 players on a team.

There were lots of amazing projects at Barrington Prairie Middle School. But the basketball projects are the ones that standed out to me. Everyone did a good job on their projects everyone had great colors on their poster. I learned a lot of information about many different things.
