Park Terrace Elementary
November 3, 2021 Newsletter
Greetings Park Terrace Families,
I hope everyone is off to a great start this week!
Last Friday, as many of you know, was the first week of our enrichment program SPARK! It was truly amazing to watch all of our students enjoying the opportunity to learn and grow in an interest-based activity.
We had students participating in fencing, karate, soccer, STEM builders, piano, and woodworking while other students learned about healthy diets and made smoothies. Young students and adults alike learn when playing, and I am so happy this program has begun. I hope each student enjoys these opportunities to learn about a new activity or hobby and find his or her passion and spark.
Here are a couple of reminders as we look to the weeks ahead:
- Cold weather clothing: Please be sure to send students with weather-appropriate clothing. Our students spend a good amount of time at recess outside every day and it is incredibly important that they bring a coat, hat, gloves and, when the snow finally arrives, boots and snow pants. Please ensure that your student is dressed for the weather each day.
- Picture retakes: Our picture retake day will be held on Tuesday, November 16.
- End of daylight savings time: Note that this Sunday is the end of daylight savings time. Be sure to turn back your clock an hour on Sunday morning so that students are at school on time on Monday morning.
It is hard to believe that it is November already! Veterans Day and Thanksgiving are just around the corner. I hope everyone is having a great start to November!
Sincerely,
Mona Perkins
Principal

Performance description:
Comedy in crime in this rouge's gallery of ten-minute plays wrapped in a classic whodunnit. When eccentric billionaire J. Leslie Arlington is murdered, a clueless detective finds the suspects are all reluctant to admit their alibis...because they were all committing other ridiculous crimes at the time. You never know what's coming next when your suspects include disgruntled chefs, teen detectives, and vengeful divas, but one thing's for certain: Every alibi is absolutely absurd.
Performance dates:
- Thursday, November 11, 7 p.m.
