A108 News

Hello Parents,

Tomorrow (5/3) is the first day of the Math portion of Smarter Balanced testing. If possible send the kids to bed early and give them a hearty breakfast in the morning : )

Wednesday morning (5/4) is the volunteer breakfast. We were asked to perform the "Tush Push" for the volunteers. This is A108's chance to show them how much we appreciate their hard work and time! Students should meet me by the stage entrance at 8:15a.m. Girls need to wear blue jeans, red t-shirts, and sparkly belt buckles. Boys should wear blue jeans and a white t-shirt. You may send extra clothes to change into if they are uncomfortable in these.

On Thursday, classrooms will be open from 6-7:00pm for Open House. The third graders have been working hard on projects that represent their culture, and will be presenting them to you that night. A108 students are required to be in our classroom presenting their projects from 5:45-6:40. Families will be able to come in at 6:00. Parents are encouraged to walk around our classroom and visit ALL of the eight projects that night. Don't forget to ask questions! I realize that you may have other children or may want to visit other classrooms. You do not have to stay with your child. You can come back and pick them up when they are done presenting at 6:40.

As always, email me with any questions you may have. Have a great week!
