MealTime Overview
MealTime is a computerized systems used to track student meal purchases. You can deposit funds electronically or through the school. Students' fingers are scanned to access their account. If you would like to opt out of the finger scan process, please visit http://ocsd62.org/nutrition-services/mealtime Please note that all new students and incoming kindergarteners may begin using the system on September 9th.
You can access Meal Time online at http://ocsd62.org/mealtime
Tardy Bell Rings at 8am
We begin instruction at 8am usually with a community building activity. These activities are critical to the success of your child. This is a time to connect with peers and the teacher and set the learning stage for the day. A good evening and morning routine that allows your child to get 10-13 hours of sleep each night is the first step in student success.
Volunteer
We hope you considering volunteering this school year. There are many opportunities to help; including attending a field trip, laminating certificates, reading with students, and much more. All volunteers are required to go through our background check process EVERY YEAR. This is free. All you need to do is complete the online form found here: http://ocsd62.org/volunteer
After the Bell
Community Education offers day camps and after school care. Unfortunately, After the Bell is currently at capacity for McLoughlin. Please continue to visit http://ocsd62.org/community-education for the most current information. We have a list of local childcare providers available at the school upon request. Please note that we do not endorse these providers.
Donation Request
We are seeking donations of new girls/boys underwear in sizes 4-10 and pants with elastic bands in sizes 4-12. We use these in the health room for students who need them. Having these on hand ensures students have clean clothes easily available and can get back to learning quickly.
School Bond Money at Work
As part of the safety and security upgrades new door knobs were installed on every room inside the building. These door knobs lock from the inside and outside, making it much easier for teachers to quickly secure their classroom/pod. Visit http://ocschoolbond.org/ for the most current information.
Box Tops for Education has Gone DIGITAL
It's simple to use. Simply download the app and scan your receipt. All funds earned help to support programming at McLoughlin. For more information visit https://www.boxtops4education.com/
