Credit Recovery Summer Programs

Lawrence is running a full summer Virtual Academy for all students who may have failed a course ending in a Regents. Summer 2020 Regents are waived and this opportunity will allow students to stay on pace with the requirements of Graduation by having them complete the course before September. We urge students to take advantage of this program. Questions can be sent to creditrecovery@lawrence.org

Special Education Summer Programs

Our extended year summer program for students is taking place virtually this summer. Our learners are meeting remotely with their teachers and therapists to address IEP goals. We thank our families for their participation in the survey that helped design this program.

Fast ForWord Summer Reading Intervention

We are pleased that our targeted learners were able to have the opportunity to work with the Fast ForWord program during this time of virtual learning. Lawrence Is proud to be a district that was able to implement a new intervention program during this time. We are grateful to the leaders, teachers and families who are working together to ensure readers advance their skills.

FastForword is a highly rated program as evidenced by the success documented in the What Works Clearinghouse.

This series of computer-delivered brain fitness exercises designed to produce dramatic language and reading improvements in a variety of student populations by improving memory, attention. When students process more efficiently, every other instructional strategy works better.
