Bell Schedule - Minor Update
Based on staff and student feedback, we've updated the bell schedule to include a few minutes of passing period between advisory and 1st or 5th block (Printable PDF). We will be following this bell schedule, including the assigned lunch shifts, for the rest of the semester, regardless of if we are in hybrid or distance learning. We are following it consistently to promote routine and structure for all of our students through this time.

Congratulations to member of our band program who auditioned for and were selected to the VBODA District XVI Band! Stone Bridge had 22 members selected to this honor ensemble. This represents much hard work and dedication from our talented student musicians!

Mobile Hope Service Project
My name is Nicholas Gray, and I’m a Boy Scout in Troop 1907. I’m working on a service project for Mobile Hope, which is a charity that helps support homeless and at-risk youth. I am looking for donations to help replenish their food supplies after the holidays and I’m reaching out to the community for help. Currently, Mobile Hope is looking for Canned meats, Granola bars, Canned fruits and Vegetables, Cereal, Macaroni, Hearty soups, Snacks, Ramen noodles, Oatmeal, and Shelf-stable milk. There will be a box in front of 43257 Brookford Square UNTIL Saturday, February 13th, to place your items in. Even if you donate just one thing, it would be a HUGE help! If you want to learn more about Mobile Hope, check out their website at: https://mobile-hope.org/. Thank you so much!
Mental Health Matters Project
Despite the virtual school environment and distance learning, we still have been fortunate enough for our annual Mental Health Matters DECA project to take place! We feel the topic of mental health is more important this year than ever before with the numerous struggles the COVID-19 pandemic has caused. For this reason, our project team had the opportunity to share coping strategies about this pressing issue to the Stone Bridge community through a virtual advisory lesson and we're also excited to announce that we are selling project t-shirts! The cost of our shirt this year is $15 due to the limited supply we have available & the proceeds will go towards Sources of Strength (an organization which works with students to improve mental health challenges). Our T-shirt design is displayed below and can be purchased here. We would greatly appreciate your support to help us continue to raise awareness about this urgent cause!
Special Olympics & Unified Sports Fundraiser
The Special Olympics Virginia Youth Leadership Council is comprised of students who work together to educate, motivate, and activate more students to become agents of change in their communities and advocate for the respect, inclusion and acceptance of all people, regardless of abilities. Congrats to Anna Good and Kyra Campbell, who represent Stone Bridge on this year’s Youth Leadership Council.
Our current fundraiser is the Cool School Penguin Plunge, an all-virtual take on a polar plunge. The penguins Stone Bridge earns through raising donations will be racing on February 5th through a lazy river at the Special Olympics Virginia partner hotel, Holiday Inn North Beach. Stone Bridge is competing against other schools across the state. The more money we raise, the more penguins we have in the race!
50% of the money we raise for the Penguin Plunge goes directly to Stone Bridge’s Unified Sports program. In addition, the school who has the winning penguin will win a dunk tank to dunk one of their favorite teachers! Please consider donating today!
