STUDENT HIGHLIGHTS
James and Dre have been cleaning up the playground everyday after lunch. Their efforts have helped to ensure the equipment is protected in shade and does not rot in the sun. Thank you boys for volunteering your time and keep up the good work!!
Fifth grader Legend McDaid created a work of art after reading about Aboriginal cave paintings. She was inspired to paint her own handprint art that Mrs. Rowan will proudly display in her classroom. What an artist!
Happy Birthday!!
I Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.....
Ethan in 3rd grade leading the Pledge of Allegiance and the Moment of Silence during his ELD class.

WIN Time!
Students in all grades participate in WIN (What I Need) time during their school day. This time allows teachers to hone in on each induvial students’ needs and provide more support and reteaching opportunities to better equip all of our students with the information and strategies they need to feel successful. 😊
Mrs. Lockets Lighthouses
Students in Ms. Lockett’s 2nd grade used Feelings Cards during their class morning meeting to identify and discuss common human emotions. The goal in learning to recognize emotions is for the students to understand their own feelings as well as the feelings of others.
Ms. Huston’s 4th grade class celebrated Dot Day on September 15th!
The Dot is the story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark”. What begins with a small dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage, igniting a journey of self-discovery and sharing, which has gone on to inspire countless children and adults around the globe.
Mr. Savage's Gifted sixth grade
The class had just finished up ancient civilization and the effects of agriculture. After class one day Zach and Maddox came up to Mr. Savage and decided to tell him that they were working on a Hybrid project for Mrs. Kinderknecht's Hatchet Project, and Mr. Savage's irrigation unit. He asked them what it was...and they told him it was a secret, and that he would see soon enough.
Here is their simulated stranded/survival station, complete with irrigation canals. They narrated the whole video. It is amazing!!!

It's Fall Y'all
The office team put on a day of Fall Fun. This day was a day to celebrate the changing of the season and the wonderful weather that is headed our way, but to also celebrate each and every one! We are so thankful to work with such an amazing group of people and this is our way of saying THANK YOU! There was an hourly raffle of “Happy Fall Ya’ll Gift Cards” announced throughout the day, delicious snacks and treats in the office, AND a pumpkin hunt that was ongoing all day long. This was such a fun day!!
