Dear New Teacher

an IPAD improved classroom

Your work is cut out for you - use the technology to enhance your classroom

First you are going to have to find a way to get the hardware into your classroom. The school owns one ipad so be creative and find a way to get it into your classroom. We have an active school council who have more access to funds than the principal so start the ball rolling and get some more ipads. Current wisdom says, rather than a class set, a few that the students can share to get immediate learning opportunities is the way to go. Start small. Let the students be in charge of their learning they will find the most valuable ways to incoporate the technology into their learning. Do your research by following blogs, google plus or Learnist to get uptodate lists of best apps. Keep in mind that although you are the teacher who is responsible for selecting the learning goals, you need to respond to the needs of the individual learners and the students will learn as much from each other as they will from you.

So go ahead and get the students:
