Notes and News From the Principal's Office
As we prepare for the Fall, I want to remind families to be sure to keep an eye on the weather and send students with jackets or sweatshirts when cooler days begin to set in. We believe that it is very important for students to take a break from their studies and play outside at recess whenever possible, even on cool days. One suggestion that I would make is to label your child's sweatshirts and jackets with their name on the tag. We often find these items left laying and they end up in our lost and found bin. By labeling these items, (lunch boxes too) we can easily return these items to their rightful owners.
During the month of October we have several events planned. On Monday, October 4th, we will have Fall pictures. These pictures will be the pictures that will be used in the yearbook. if your child will be absent on Monday, retakes will be done on November 15th. On October 8th we will hold our annual Race for Education. Please see the information below regarding the race. As we move forward, we are looking forward to sharing many more events with you.

South Lebanon PTP Updates
Dear South Lebanon Families,
The PTP supports many activities and events for the students, teachers, and staff at South Lebanon. This wouldn’t be possible without your support. So, how can you stay informed and get involved? Attend the October PTP meeting which will be Wednesday, October 13th at 6:30 in the library. Childcare will be provided by our high school volunteers.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, there are always other ways to support our students. Below you will find a link to donate to the Race for Education. This is the PTP’s biggest fundraiser and how we provide so many amazing experiences for our students.
Also, you can simply link our Amazon Smile name to your Amazon account and Amazon will donate to the PTP every time you shop! Link below! Don’t forget it expires every 6 months. So, check to make sure you are linked to our name!
Lastly, the PTP is always looking for various volunteers, both with clearances and without. If you are interested in volunteering for any events use the link below to sign up.
Any way you can help is appreciated by the students and staff at South Lebanon.
If you have any questions, please email the PTP at ptp.southlebanon@gmail.com.
See you at the next PTP meeting!

Please review the important information that is printed inside the front cover of the CLSD 2021-22 Calendar of Events. The District website is the first place important information is posted. Volunteers and Chaperones: Cornwall-Lebanon School District greatly appreciates the volunteers and chaperones who provide assistance to students and teachers through their participation in classroom support, as well as special events and activities. Volunteers are essential to the success of students. Look under the “Community” tab on the District Home page for details: www.clsd.k12.pa.us. Anyone who will be serving as a long-term or short-term volunteer for the District must complete the Volunteer Information packet, located on the website, prior to serving as a volunteer, and follow any existing COVID-19 guidelines pertaining to their volunteer assignment.
United Way Campaign: Our district continues its dedicated support of the United Way this year. In addition to asking our staff for contributions, we are asking our students once again to consider donating to the Miles of Quarters Campaign. This campaign will be held in October. We encourage each student to consider a donation of one quarter for each year of their age. For example, an eight-year-old student would donate eight (8) quarters, or $2. United Way of Lebanon County is making a difference in the lives of families, children, veterans, and our neighbors most in need. One-hundred percent of your student’s contribution supports individuals and families right here in our county through programs focused on health, education, and financial stability, in addition to basic needs and safety net services.
