CSF Summer Enrichment Camp is back! Registration is now open for Coronado Schools Foundation's 2019 Summer Enrichment Program featuring hands-on STEAM-inspired classes for students, grades TK-12. This educationally focused program offers two, one-week sessions with some classes offered over both weeks. Classes are held from 8:30 to 11:30 am and 12:00 to 3:00 pm with most classes at Village Elementary School. There will be a supervised lunch period from 11:30-12:00 for students taking both morning and afternoon classes. Most classes are taught by credentialed Coronado Unified teachers with Steve Reiss, a local expert, teaching SAT/ACT and Excelsior Chess offering Chess Camp. Class sizes are small with experienced teachers at the helm, planning and executing the curriculum. Registration is now open! Register by May 15th to save $20 off each class!

This week’s theme is CHANGE: We are preparing our students for new grade levels, and preparing ourselves to say farewell to students and families we love. How do we embrace as well as acknowledge the difficulty of change? Talking helps!
Safety Updates from Karen Pierro
As the school year winds down, we want to continue to put student safety first. Here are a few reminders to help keep our Voyager community safe through the end of the school year:
#1) Always use the YELLOW crosswalks at drop-off and pick-up. On rainy days this is even more important since there are so many more drivers who may not be expecting young children to walk through the driving/drop-off lane.
#2) Drive SLOWLY & please be patient when students are present.
#3) Curbside hosts are here to help students exit cars quickly & safely at drop-off. If for any reason you need to physically get out of your car, please park to do so.
#4) Please be courteous of the spots marked “Staff” in our employee parking lot. The back half of the lot is for parents & visitors.
If you have any questions or concerns about safety, please reach out to me: karen.pierro@coronadousd.net
Stay SAFE!
