Dealey Dragon Update

January 7, 2019

Welcome Back!

I can't wait to see you- school is just not the same without the students!

Happy New Year!

I haven't made any resolutions, but I loved this post from Melinda Gates about choosing a word to guide you throughout the year. Her word for 2018 and again in 2019 is grace. I have to agree, and I have chosen this word to guide me as well. Here is the quote that hit the nail on the head for me . "What I love about grace, at least the way I define it, is that by pulling us up out of ourselves and onto a higher plane, it makes us more open to the world, to new experiences, to each other. It creates connections and encourages empathy." In 2019, I hope to create connections, to be open and to be empathetic by rooting myself in grace.
