Be Alert Presentation
A message from Blair Oaks Middle School....
Based on feedback from our BMS parents, we know there is a growing need to educate parents and students on the potential dangers our kiddos face when using social media. In the ever-changing present world we live in, we recognize this is continually changing and it is important for all of us to continue educating ourselves.
In September, we have Russ Tuttle coming to present to our families and students. He is a part of the Stop Trafficking Project. His presentations focus on the role social media plays in exploiting vulnerabilities.
A "caring adult" presentation is being offered for the entire community on Tuesday, September 3rd in the Middle School Gym starting at 6:00pm. Russ and his team will present at an assembly the following day for our students.
Be Alert has two simple goals:
1. Adults - move them from awareness to action
2. Students - educate and empower them to be safe
