GRADUATIONS WILL BE LIVESTREAMED
The graduation ceremonies at Sycamore High School and Cheatham County Central High School will be livestreamed on the Austin Peay State University YouTube channel.
Sycamore’s graduation is Friday, May 27 at 10 a.m. at APSU’s Dunn Center. The link is https://youtu.be/vaKdOEzk_QI.
Cheatham County’s graduation is Friday, May 27 at 1 p.m. at APSU’s Dunn Center. The link is https://youtu.be/SZxnrS_lA5c.
The streams will go live five minutes before the start of the ceremonies.
Harpeth High School's graduation will be held Friday, May 27 at 7 p.m. on the football field.
Harpeth will be broadcasting its graduation ceremony on the school’s Facebook page and it will be available afterward as well.

OPEN, OUT-OF-COUNTY ENROLLMENT INFORMATION
We are currently accepting applications for open and out-of-county enrollment for students who wish to attend our schools in the 2022-2023 school year. No applications will be accepted after May 31. FOOD DISTRIBUTION SET FOR JUNE 4
One Generation Away will host a free food distribution on Saturday, June 4 from 9-11 a.m. at Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy, 108 Elizabeth St. in Ashland City. This is open to all families in our community and will operate as a first-come, first-serve drive-thru distribution. Everyone is asked to stay in their vehicle and have space cleared for the food. We appreciate One Generation Away for helping our families in these challenging times.

SUMMER LEARNING CAMPS BEGIN JUNE 6
We will begin our summer learning camps on Monday, June 6. Invitations to attend the camps have been sent by each school. Priority is being given to students in need of additional learning support prior to the 2022-2023 school year. Additional details can be found here. Transportation is being provided as part of the camp. The central cluster bus schedule will be posted on our social media platforms and website on Tuesday, May 31. The northern cluster bus schedule will be posted on our social media platforms and website on Wednesday, June 1. The southern cluster bus schedule will be posted on our social media platforms and website on Thursday, June 2.
CAMP INVENTION PLANNED FOR JUNE 6-10
Camp Invention will return this summer. The camp will be held June 6-10 at Sycamore High School and is open to students entering grades K-6. NEW BOOK, STEAM BUS ROLLS OUT IN JUNE
We are thrilled about our new mobile book and STEAM bus! As you might recall, we received a grant from the Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation to launch the bus this summer. The bus will be visiting parks, schools and libraries. We are also working with several community organizations, who will provide learning activities for students at each stop. Check out our schedule. We hope our families will take advantage of this fun learning opportunity!

SOUTH CHEATHAM LIBRARY OFFERS SUMMER LEARNING FUN
The South Cheatham Public Library in Kingston Springs is gearing up for its summer reading program. There will be weekly programs on Thursdays in June and July as well as a summer reading challenge. PRE-K REGISTRATION CONTINUES
We are still accepting applications for our Pre-K program for the 2022-2023 school year. Application packets are available at the Cheatham County Board of Education, 102 Elizabeth Street in Ashland City. The program is open to students who turn 4 on or before Aug. 15, 2022, and whose family is income eligible based on the U.S. Health and Human Services Poverty Guidelines. NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION BEGINS JULY 27
New student registration will begin July 27 at each individual school. Please follow each school’s social media pages as specific information will be shared on them or call/email the school for additional information.

2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR AVAILABLE
The 2022-2023 school calendar is now available on our website. The school year will begin on Friday, Aug. 5 for students in grades 1-9 with a 10:45 a.m. dismissal. The first full day for students in grades 1-12 is Monday, Aug. 8. The first full day for Pre-K and Kindergarten students is Friday, Aug. 12. The complete calendar can be found here.
