April LMC Updates 2023
A message from the LMC Staff
Did you know?
To celebrate all that libraries offer, books, movies, games, giveaways, resources and engaging programming, to name a few, the LMCs have a variety of activities occurring throughout the month of April.
Favorite Childhood Books at EHS
EHS students have the opportunity to reminisce about their favorite childhood stories.
All month they can vote for their favorite childhood book by putting a ticket in a bin by their book of choice: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Are you my Mother?, The Mitten, Goodnight Moon and Brown Bear Brown Bear What do you See? Then, each day during National Library Week, 5 student tickets will be drawn and each of them will receive a special treat from the LMC. We hope they enjoy remembering books they read as young children and use this as inspiration to continue reading.

Lunch in the Loft at the Middle School!
They each were able to choose 3 friends to join them for lunch one day during National Library Week to eat in The Loft, overlooking the cafeteria. They were so excited to be recognized for their diligent reading with their special lunch and a certificate. The student who checked out the most books checked out 238 books so far this school year!
Books & Posters at TRIS!
They wrote their favorite book title or topic and name on a small slip that filled a huge pickle jar. Then 6 names were drawn from each class. The students with their names drawn received a book or poster to celebrate reading and the library.
2,273 books have been checked out this month! Most popular titles:

Tech Tips & Tricks
Students also need reminders on proper care for their Chromebooks . When carrying devices, be sure to put them on top of everything else they are carrying. Heavy books carried on top of devices can damage the screen. And be sure to clear the device of any debris, like loose papers or pens/pencils before shutting the lid. These items can also damage screens.
We want to hear from you!
