There is a Staff Professional Development Day THIS Monday, Oct. 29th: TWO HOUR Delay

Red Ribbon Campaign

Students are enjoying celebrating Red Ribbon Week in the Middle School.

The National Family Partnership organized the first Nationwide Red Ribbon Campaign in 1985 to provide drug awareness.

Students are participating in themes including dressing for the red carpet, dream career, hat day, crazy socks, and orange and black day.

Red Ribbon Week is a great opportunity to remind our Bulldogs of the importance of staying drug free.

Together, with all of our families, we can help our students stay healthy, safe and drug-free!

Elementary Book Fair

We've been having a great time this week at the Elementary Book Fair. The students enjoyed dressing up all week, too. (the teachers maybe even more!) The fair continues one more day, tomorrow, Friday October 26th. Many books are very reasonably priced. A huge THANK YOU to the many parent volunteers who helped this week! We appreciate you!

Student Project

Drew Biglow, a senior in Construction Tech Design Build II, wanted to build a pair of end tables at the request of his mother. Drew chose the simple design with mortise-tenon joinery of these Tile-top Craftsman tables. Drew started at the end of last school year building them out of red oak, staining them a traditional gray with three coats of lacquer, finally adding the final touch- a tiled top. Great job, Drew!

COSI brings Science Program to Middle School

5th & 6th grade students in the middle school enjoyed a fun program on Friday, thanks to the COSI traveling program, "Exploring Ecology." Students had a great time learning with fun, hands-on exhibits all about natural science, our environment and animals.

Thank you to the many parents who volunteered to help with the event. We appreciate you!

Permanent Improvement Renewal Levy: COMPUTERS

  • As careful stewards of our district finances, our tech team gets 8-15 years out of a desktop computer.
  • Elida students use a combination of IPads, laptops and desktop computers each day.
  • Ipad carts are used so that teachers can share the resources.
  • The renewal levy will help use maintain and purchase computers when necessary.

Remember to vote on November 6th.
