ISAIAH: THE LONG AWAITED ONE
by Amanda Bokura Scripture B1
Three Isaiahs
There were three Isaiahs. They each spoke the word of God before, during, and after the Babylonian Exile. He defended what was right and warned of impending danger. He both gave hope and spoke out against the Israelites.
Before the Babylonian Exile
First Isaiah tells the Israelites place their trust in God, fix the injustices of the rich against the poor and warned them about the Babylon.
During the Babylonian Exile
Second Isaiah offered hope to the exiled and captive people.
After the Babylonian Exile
Third Isaiah speaks out against the Israelite's unjust and idolatrous actions.
