What's Up At The Nest...

1.18.19

Last week, we dropped off our kindness notes at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library. Within days, we had multiple people tweeting and emailing their thanks for the notes that were hidden in books including this email: Received your Kindness Note today! Thank you for brightening my day, on this cold and cloudy Winter afternoon. Enjoying reading the book even more. As you can see from the picture, one of our students also found a note. This weekend might be a great time to get to AHML to check out a book, and you just might find one of our notes! Yesterday, we enjoyed a team building activity with our fabulous firsties. So much fun watching them work together and cheering each other on!

Have a wonderful, snowy weekend!

Arrival/Dismissal Reminders

With many more cars in our drop-off and pick-up lanes these days, we thought this would be a good time to remind everyone about some of our arrival/dismissal procedures. The video below explains are procedures in greater detail. Please be sure to share these procedures and the video with any relatives and caregivers that may assist with transporting your child. In particular:

  • Student drop-off and pick-up is prohibited along Olive Street between Arlington Heights Road and Douglas Street.
  • Please pull your car as far forward into the loading zone as traffic allows. As space becomes available, please continue to pull your vehicle forward to close any gaps.
  • Students may unload/load from the PASSENGER SIDE of the vehicle only. The driver may NOT get out of the car and cars may NOT be left unattended in the loading zone.

We have these procedures in place to keep you and your children safe. They only work if we all work together!
