Week 2: Design Your Blog Banner
Spring 2020- EDCI318 Tech for Teaching & Learning
Why Visual Design Projects from the Global Digital Citizen Foundation
“Unlocking and stimulating eager young minds is not something that happens naturally in a classroom environment. The shift towards Ed tech development in conjunction with project-based learning, however, has cultivated a learning ecosystem that is disrupting traditional teaching techniques. By integrating visual design projects into daily lesson plans, students have the opportunity to demonstrate their newly acquired knowledge.

Many, many designs and images are free, but some are $1 each. There are more than enough free ones to keep you busy for years and of course, you can use your own images or find FREE ones on the WEB. Frankly, I would look for free copyright free ones on the web and have them downloaded to your photos before you begin your actual design work.
Canva provides teachers and students with a simple new way to design logos for, bulletin board materials, presentation graphics, infographics, posters, and social media posts, handouts, newsletters, signs, classroom materials, and more.

2. Design a header/banner for your Seesaw Blog.
Let's make it a bit more interesting and something that represents YOU as an educator.
According to Seesaw, the size is 1000px by 200px. But through trial an error we have discovered that 900px by 190px fits better. or 800 by 180 is even better depending on your design.
So use Custom Dimensions.....So use Custom Dimensions....So use Custom Dimensions
But I guarantee that if you do it on your iPad, you struggle to get your banner to look right and fit, on the computer easy peasy.
Instructions on how to add it to your blog are in a PDF below.
Frankly, this task is MUCH easier to complete using your computer!!
You could also use the other app Desygner to do this!!
Make sure it has your NAME clearly visible.
