Welcome to Kindergarten!
Anderson Elementary School CUSD #303
Hello Kindergarten Families,
As you may know, we normally have a fun and helpful event each spring called Kindergarten Round-Up, as well as summer learning events where you and your child get to meet our team, tour the classrooms, and learn about all things Kindergarten at Anderson. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we can't have all of those events take place the same way. However, we are working on plans to help make sure your family and your child get all the information they need and have an opportunity to visit their classroom and meet our team before we start school. The dates, times, and details of that event will be shared at a later date when we have more information. Please stay tuned! Thanks for your patience as we get guidelines and direction from the State Board of Education.
I want to assure all of our families that our team will be very intentional and focused on helping make sure we do all that we can to support your child as they transition into Kindergarten. We know that a caring, supportive, and positive learning environment is more important than ever as we welcome the graduating class of 2033.
We will be ready to welcome and support your child as we join with you on their journey of growth and learning.

Who are the Anderson Kindergarten Teachers?
Meet Mrs. Peterson
Meet Mrs. Wit
My name is Becky Wit. This will be my 13th year in the classroom and my 4th year in d303 teaching kindergarten. I hold a bachelors degree from Taylor University and a Masters from Aurora University. I took a 12-year break from the classroom to be home with my 4 children. They are now ages 8 - 14, 3rd grade through freshman, in Batavia this fall. My husband Steve is also in education, teaching science and coaching basketball at Glenbard North. We have a one year old dog Roxy that has had lots of extra walks and attention during our quarantine days. I love spending time with my family, watching my kids sports and activities which fills most of my free time. I can't wait to meet your child and help them feel safe and excited to learn together.
Meet Ms. Claussen
