Yucca Valley Elementary School Vision
We empower and equip students to reach their highest personal and academic potential to pursue a limitless future.
Dear Prospector Families,
Welcome to the last quarter! I am proud of our students, our families, and our teachers for working to make the best of a difficult year. I'm including a couple of video highlights and photos in this newsletter for a peek at some of our projects (see below). We’ve been sharing several highlights on our Facebook Page and School Story on Class Dojo. If you’re not connected yet, please check it out!
I hope that you are able to refresh and renew over Spring Break. We will be working hard to finish well and support our students to be ready for their next grade level. Grades 3-6 are scheduled to take state assessments after we return from break. Please monitor your teacher's news for scheduling.
Thank you for your continued partnership in education.

MUSD Summer School
The Morongo Unified School District is planning in-person summer school. Elementary students may attend from June 21st through July 30th with no program during the 4th of July holiday week. Students will receive instruction 4 hours per day, Monday through Thursday. Students do not have to sign up for all weeks. More information is in the survey. Please complete this interest survey so that they can determine staffing. This survey closes April 23rd. Thank you! CLICK HERE to complete the survey: SUMMER SCHOOL SURVEY LINK
Update School Computers
1. Drive to the YVES parking lot (open 24 hours)
2. Log in to the computer (it should automatically connect to YVES wi-fi)
3. An update will automatically run once the student has logged in
4. DISCONNECT from the wi-fi
5. Drive home
6. Restart the computer and log in with NO wi-fi
7. Connect to your home wi-fi so that the computer does not link to the YVES wi-fi
Depending on how long it's been since your last update, it could take some time to update the computer. Hopefully, this keeps things running smoothly for our Prospectors!
2020-2021 Yearbooks & T Shirts
We are excited to produce a yearbook for the 2020-2021 school year. We will include a section from last year as well. For students who did not get their photo taken at school, Ms. Teri has emailed a request to families to submit a photo by April 16, 2021. Yearbooks are for sale at a discounted price of $10. You can pre-order from the forms included below. Scroll down.
If your child did not get their photo taken during picture days, you were sent an email to submit a photo to include in our yearbook. Please check your email and/or contact your child's teacher if you did not get an email.
T-Shirt forms are also below. They are $12 each.
