NYC Department of Education Teaching Opportunities
We are excited to invite University of Georgia prospective teachers to attend an upcoming online event to learn about teaching in NYC and the application process. Below is an overview of the New York City Department of Education events and you can register at teachnyc.net/events:
Online Info Sessions: Tuesday, June 20, 2017 5:30 - 6:30pm
Teacher Chat: Tuesday, June 27, 2017 5:00 - 6:00pm
Lastly, do not feel like you have to wait until one of the sessions above to start the application. My suggestion is to start the application now so that you can ask tailored questions to help you complete your application. As you complete your application you will need to be prepared with an electric copy of:
- Your resume (draft is fine) that is accessible as a digital file - either on a flash drive or e-mail/google doc (or you can use the NYC DOE Resume Template)
- Your soft copy of the College Teaching Certification Letter (if it's hardcopy you can scan and save it to a flash drive/Google Drive)
- Three Professional References
Our final application deadline is June 21st. Apply early to receive access to job search resources and hiring events.
