Congratulations on your learner's acceptance into Omaha Virtual School
We are excited to welcome you and your learner into our OVS program for the 2019-20 school year. It will be an exciting year for all of us as we settle into our new location at the Omaha Teacher Administrator Center at 3215 Cuming Street. You can find our offices Please be sure to read the information below in its entirety. At the very bottom, there are links to school supply lists and more.
The following are the times and days available for your child to attend face-to-face sessions at our location at the TAC building. Please use the link for the sign up form to give us your preference.
K-5th Grade Options:
Tuesday, 1-4 pm
Middle School Options:
Tuesday, 12:30 pm-3:30 pm
Wednesday, 8:30-11:30 am
High School Options (session times align with Career Center options):
Tuesday, 8:30 am-12:30 pm
Wednesday, 11:30 am-3:30 pm
There will be a box lunch option for high school students on Tuesday and Wednesday and for any students who will be attending Thursday.
Thursdays will now be used for open lab time, which will be required for students who are on back on track plans, qualify for extra academic support, and optional for any students who may want additional help from their teachers.

Orientation for Learners and Learning Coaches- August 20, 9-11 am
Meet on 4th floor, doors through the left off the elevator
First Class Days- August 20 or 21 (during your learners chosen face-to-face time)
Learning Coach will attend the first hour of class with their learner. Learning Coaches will attend training during the 2nd hour. Please make sure you are available during these first 2 hours of your learner's face-to-face session.
Learner Onboarding- August 22, 10:30-12:30

Please note this is different than previous years. Learners will attend their usual face-to-face day this week AND come to OVS to complete MAP testing on Thursday September 12 and 19. Times will be announced soon.

In order to earn credit for PE, learners must earn a D or higher in the online coursework and attend four class sessions in order complete physical, performance-based assessments. There is a make-up session each semester in case a class is missed.
