The Baptism of Jesus
Leadership Message
Baptism of Jesus:
You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased. Mark 1: 11
Today we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord. This brings our Christmas season to a close and the beginning of Ordinary Time. This also is when Jesus moves into His public ministry. Jesus' baptism prepares Him for this ministry.
In his homily today, Father Kris challenged us to know and celebrate the date of our own baptisms. Father Kris reminded us that through our baptism, as Christians, we are never alone. Through our baptism, we become adopted sons and daughters of God, and brothers and sisters to one another. Knowing this helps us remember how to treat one another with acceptance, love and kindness.
As we continue to navigate our way through the uncertainty and sometimes, loneliness, of the pandemic, may we be reminded today of the hope and love bestowed on us through the Holy Spirit on our baptism.
Blessings,
Mrs. Bonnie-Lynne Boehm, Principal

Classroom & Community Connections: A Good News Story from Grade 3JD
After 3JD returned from their walking field trip, Mrs. JD responded to her students' excitement by encouraging them to write letters to the homeowners sharing their gratitude.
The story doesn't end there...Mrs. Boehm received a phone call from the homeowners, Cindy and Jamie Graham, who were so incredibly moved upon receiving the students' letters. "In an unsettling time of Covid, we were so thankful to read all the wonderful letters. They made our day and we will treasure them forever". -Cindy Graham
Cindy and Graham wanted to give back and brought a gift for Mrs. JD and one for each student! It was so amazing to witness the community connections and the power of sharing smiles!
