Celebrating Black History Month
February marks Black History Month, a tradition that got its start in the Jim Crow era and was officially recognized in 1976 as part of the nation's bicentennial celebrations. It aims to honor the contributions that African Americans have made and to recognize their sacrifices.
The digital display in the AGS Main Lobby will feature prominent figures and events from BHM along with a QR Code for students to interact and submit answers to BHM Trivia questions. Drawings will be held at the end of the month for a chance to win gift cards from local vendors.

Positivity Project
WHAT DOES LOVE OF LEARNING
MEAN?
You master new skills and topics on your own
or in school.
WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
Developing a love of learning is highly
beneficial for an individual. It means they
are intrinsically motivated to deepen their
existing skills and abilities or learn
something completely new. Individuals
who love learning have the desire and
ability to overcome challenges due to a
sense of autonomy and control over their
environment.
“I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order
that I may learn how to do it.”
– Pablo Picasso

Summer EBT provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer. More than 29 million children across America could benefit from Summer EBT.
Community Partners
AGS would like to thank following local businesses for their support of our staff and students. Carlson's Greenhouse and Gill-Roy's Hardware donated Holiday decorations to our school. Bill Carr Sign's recently installed 3M Safety Film and a customized perforation film on the front entrance of AGS. We appreciate all of our Community Partners.
