WYWLA WEEKLY UPDATE
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2021
Thank You, WYWLA PTSA!
OWL-A-THON IS BACK!!!
On September 20, the PTSA will kick off their Owl-a-thon fundraiser. This is a no-bake, no-sell, no-fuss fundraiser, and the proceeds will help the PTSA provide even more enrichment and support to our school community.
The plan this year is to use the funds to install hands-free water bottle fillers in various locations throughout school, and to also bring in artists and performers to the students. Any additional funds will go directly to student/teacher support.
The goal is to raise $5,000 from 9/20 – 10/8!!! Last year, we raised $4,600, and we are hoping to top that with your generosity. We are asking anyone who is able to donate to please contribute, as any contribution goes a long way. Please share with anyone you think may be interested in helping our amazing school.
Be on the lookout for more information. All donations are welcome and truly appreciated!
NOT FEELING WELL?

- 100.4° fever or higher
- Sore throat
- New cough
- New shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- New loss of taste or smell
- Diarrhea or vomiting
- New severe headache
When students can return to school?
Students who are not feeling well but do not have one of the COVID-19 symptoms listed above may return to school after they have gone at least 24 hours without a fever or the use of fever-reducing medicine.
View wcpss.net/WhenToReturn for requirements to return after a COVID-19 diagnosis, exposure, or symptoms.

NEWS FROM THE PTSA
Hello WYWLA Families!
This week, we were able to treat our amazing teachers to some delicious pastries on their workday. Thank you to our Teacher Appreciation crew for giving them a sweet surprise, and thank you to our teachers and staff for making our school so wonderful!
A few things are on the horizon, as noted above. We are currently taking orders for Day of the Girl t-shirts (through 9/24), and our Owl-a-thon starts on Monday. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and will help us increase our support of students, teachers and school programs. Please consider donating.
