Jackson Parents/Guardians,

Can you believe it is already the start of the 4th quarter? This year has sure been filled with ups and downs, but I am thrilled to be able to recognize our newest National Honors Society inductees who will join our incredible 5th graders, recognized for their outstanding academic achievement and personal responsibility.

Through NEHS, students provide meaningful service to the school and community and develop essential leadership skills. NEHS supports these purposes by strengthening the lives of our nation’s elementary students and the schools in which they are enrolled.

I am happy to announce this year's newest members:

Raylee Lamb

Aiden Scott

Alyssia Nelson

Emiliana Aragon

Dominic Vigil

Mileia Porter

Evie Graves

Cooper Ribley

Madison Wenger

Alex Aguayo

Aaron Sanchez

5 Day School Week

District 11 has decided to return to 5 days a week school. Kindergarten-5th grade students will attend school Monday-Friday, beginning March 15, 2021. (PreK will continue with their Monday-Thursday schedule.)

E-Learning Days(formally Snow Days)

Once District 11 calls an "E-Learning Day", students are expected to be on their Morning Meetings by 8:00am, as well as the rest of their assigned meetings throughout the day. Students are held accountable to complete ALL work that is required of them. We appreciate your support with this.

If your child(ren) is unable to attend the full day, you will need to call in their absence. Remember, communication is key this year!

Big picture

Can my child learn from home today, even though they are registered as being in-person?

With all of the District 11 calendar changes this year, there may be some confusion about if your child can stay home to learn instead of coming into the building if there is bad weather, a personal scheduling conflict, they aren't feeling well, etc.

When we began the final quarter of this school year, families were given the opportunity to choose to either bring their child(ren) in person or keep them online. We have created our Master schedule to reflect the students who are online and who are in person. Therefore, it is very important to keep to what you have already committed to.

Unfortunately, Jackson does NOT offer the opportunity for you to change your child(ren)'s learning platform without gaining permission from the Principal. Thank you for your understanding!
