Federalist for the people
FEDERALIST
Beliefs
Federalist Party membership believed that the new nation should repeat the policies of Great Britain. They did not like the Alien and sedition Acts so they made a new law. They opposed the power of national government.
Opions
Against its dissolution, the party made a lasting impact by laying the foundations of a national economy, creating a national judicial system and making principles of foreign policy. Some New England Federalists went so far as to argue for Secession from the Union, in which New England would separately establish peace with Britain, whether the rest of the country wanted to or not.
