PTA News

We would like to extend a huge "thank you" to all of our sponsors who donated supplies and money for our Panther Prowl Fun Run: Tingey Orthodontics, Shadow's Paw Wash, Kelson Orthodontics, Kit Shuman, The Violette Family, Intermountain Gas, Chobani, Pineapple Princesses, Jeremy Waddell & Family.

We netted almost $25,000 in pledges and had 60% of our students register for the event - such a success! Thank you again for your support!

Reflections information will be coming home soon! Entries are due November 8th. We are excited to see student art entries for this year's theme: I Will Change the World By...

Necessary School Improvement

Our school is in need of an additional play structure and we need your help to make this happen. We are off to a good start with the money we raised from the fun run, but we have a long ways to go.

Most schools in our district have two or three large play structures. Prospect has one play structure for our kindergarten students and one for our 1st - 5th grade students. With a school as large as ours, it's necessary for grades to take turns using the play structure to allow more space for students to play without conflict, crowding and/or injury.

The play structure below is approximately $30,000 and the installation will be an additional $30,000. While this is a large investment, it's a purchase that will last many years and get a great deal of use. The play structure is a favorite of many of our students and we know that they willl be excited to have a new one. Once we have raised enough funds, we will pick 2-3 play structures and allow students to vote for the one that they want to be on their Prospect Playground.

In order to achieve this goal, we need your help! The PTA will continue to do fundraisers, but if you are able to contribute you can donate using the link and directions below. 100% of the money donated to the Foundation will go to our play structure.

If you have any questions, please contact our principal, Gwenda Venecia at

We appreciate your support!
