Principal Update

Dear Parent(s), Guardian(s), & Students,

It has been a fantastic (and fast) school year! I am so thankful for all of your support and I am incredibly proud of our accomplishments this year. Join me at any of the awards assemblies to help celebrate record breaking high academic scores, great school culture, kindness and compassion for the learning and growth that takes place at BRMES! We sure have a lot to celebrate!

Report cards and progress notes will be mailed home mid-June for all students. SBAC test results will be sent home with students in grades 3-5. Please check the lost & found collection spread out on tables before dismissal on the last day of school. So many treasures that we will donate if they are not claimed.

Over the summer, please check our website and calendar (also on the website) for back to school updates. Please encourage your child to continue reading throughout the summer and maybe try out some of the 'bucket list' activities found in the PTA section below.

Have a great summer, be safe, and I'll be ready and excited to see you in August!

100+ HOUR Volunteers: Danielle Williams, Kimberly Weller, and Joan Brundige.

Staff Appreciation Week Thank You!

The staff has asked that I pass on a big ' THANK YOU' to everyone who donated goodies for the week, offered notes of encouragement, or just said 'thank you'. We hope this simple 'THANK YOU' will show you just how much we loved all our food and treats! If you wondered what we did with all of your donations, we snacked on fruit, veggies and sugary treats all week long. We enjoyed a breakfast, a taco bar, a BBQ, a pizza lunch, and a panini sandwich bar. We ate cookies and had a bucket full of refreshing drinks to get us through the whole week. It really was amazing. Thank you to everyone who contributed through your time or the variety of food donations.

Join the Public Library Summer Reading Program!

Stop by the McCall Public Library and get registered for the Summer Reading Program after June 1st. All students get a summer library card. See the flyer below.

Thank you Brownie Troop 571

Congratulations and thank you to Brownie Troop xxx for organizing a Penny War and generating $721.14 to help purchase a water bottle filling station upstairs in the school! What a great project and gift for the school. Thank you to all the students who participated and congratulations to the 3rd grade classrooms who generated the most money and earned themselves 5 boxes of Girl Scout cookies all to themselves!

Back to School Basics

Friday, August 23: Class Lists will be posted on the school front windows @ 4:00 (just prior to Back to School Night) and remain there until the 1st Day of School.

New this coming year and to help with overcrowding, we will open the upstairs for grades 3-5 from 4:00-5:00 PM and then the downstairs for grades K-2 from 5:00-6:00 PM. We invite all of our families and kids to socialize or shop the food vendors outside on the playground before or after. Color Run & Field Day ~ June 5

The annual PTA Color Run & Field Day at BRMES will be Wednesday, June 5th. The color shows up best on a WHITE shirt! We will end each time block with a walk through the Woodlands for our annual 'Samson Trail' walk. The events take place on our playground/north side of the school.

Grades 3-5 will participate from 9:30-11:30 AM outside.

Grades K-2 will participate from 12:30-2:30 PM.

We need many volunteers to throw color and help with some other fun roles. (It's a great event for younger siblings/toddlers as well). Sign up here if you can help.

Order School Supplies by June 10th!

SchoolKidz is an optional school-supply ordering service (provided by the BRMES PTA) that offers pre-packaged, school supply kits filled with the exact supplies requested by BRMES teachers. The kits will arrive and be on your child's desk by Open House night. Check with your child for the informational flyer. Orders can be made online at by June 10th, 2019. Use account number 41375.
