Dear Families!
It was an eventful week for many programs at CTMS. A quick recap is provided below.
- The basketball teams opened up their seasons on the road on Wednesday, picking up victories at East Hardy and Skyline.
- Wrestling started their season with a quad opener at Washington High School.
- The Varsity Girls basketball team traveled to Wheeling to support the WHS Girls Basketball program prior to taking on a tough Triadelphia Middle School team.
- The Varsity Boys basketball team picked up a victory over a tough DC team in the JHS Middle School Showcase on Saturday.
- The Band, FFA, Builders Club, and Cheerleaders all represented CTMS with their take on a "Grinchmas" in the annual Charles Town Christmas Parade on Saturday.
We are looking forward to another great week at Charles Town, with strong instruction and many student events. Check out the December to Remember Calendar Below! Students and staff are encouraged to participate.

Winter Weather
Also, please encourage your students to dress appropriately for the weather. As always, students are required to wear full shirts. During the winter, we do request that students bring a jacket to school and wear appropriate pants for the weather. If your child does not utilize a locker to store their winter garments, please email Ms. Reed to request a locker check be completed with your student: nreed@k12.wv.us
Athletic Events
We are in the swing of the winter sports seasons. We are exctied to welcome students back to attend the games. It is strongly encouraged that an adult or responsible older sibling attend the games with students.
The expectations for students who return for games is that they are here to watch the game and respectfully cheer on their peers. Students are not permitted to travel to and from the concession stand on a constant regular basis. While athletic play is live, students should be seated in the bleachers as a spectator.
Please help us respectfully support our athletic teams as well as the CT parents and visiting parents during the athletic event.
