Faculty Meeting

Welcome back! Please bring an item that represents what made your holiday special.

Making learning objectives clear to students will help them focus on and accomplish the goal for the lesson. Enjoy the video below!

Introducing, Kay Jackson, Special Education

I've taught for 21 years and lived and worked in five states, four countries, and on three continents! I love learning about different cultures and traveling to new places. One reason I travel so much is that besides teaching, I also write nonfiction books for kids. My next books are on the Maya of Mexico. I have one son and two grandchildren, a girl and a boy, and a three-legged rescue dog named Fiona. Don't let that worry you - Fiona can go anywhere! My hobbies include jewelry making (I love sparkly stuff) and knitting (I also love different textures).

New Announcements

We welcome Kimberly Long and Tanisha Anderson as additional long term substitutes in our building. Ms. Long recently graduated from NSU with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. Tanisha Anderson has been with us for the last two weeks before break. She loves children, has run her own learning care and is currently in school. Please make them a welcomed member of the team.

Bring new thoughts about our collective ability to continue change at Penn into the 2016 New Year!

New Year thoughts!

“Sow a thought, and you reap an act;
Sow an act, and you reap a habit;
Sow a habit, and you reap a character;
Sow a character, and you reap a destiny.”
Samuel Smiles

It begins with a thought

“Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.”
Mahatma Gandhi
