November 12, 2020
Report cards for the first trimester will be going home with all students the week of November 30th. All subjects at all grade levels, except for fine arts, are now being assessed in a standards based grading format which is reflected in the current report card.
Parent-Teacher conferences are being scheduled by teachers between November 16th through December 4th. This is an opportunity for parents to discuss their child's academic and social-emotional progress with their child(ren)'s teacher.
If you are looking to schedule a conference with Mr. Allman please email him at firstname.lastname@example.org. Mr. Allman will be available for conferences November 16th-18th from 2:45-6:45 pm.
Mrs. Krzysiak, our music teacher, will be available for a conference during the following dates and times,
Wednesday, November 18, 3:45-5:45 pm
Thursday, November 19, 2:45-5:45 pm
Monday, November 23, 1:00-5:00 pm
Thursday, December 3, 2:45-5:45 pm
Please email Mrs. Krzysiak at email@example.com if you would like to schedule a virtual conference.
Here are a few suggestions to review while preparing for your parent-teacher conference:
- First, assemble relevant materials including correspondence between the classroom and home that you think is necessary about discussing your child's progress.
- Next, talk to your child before the conference, share with your child why the conference is taking place and the purpose of the conference.
- Finally prepare a list of questions ahead of time and write them down so you can remember what to ask during the conference.
The best way to maximize your conference time is to be prepared.

As a reminder to parents we are not accepting any lunches at the building either delivered by an outside source or from home once the students have arrived and school has started. We have boxed lunches here at school that we will provide to any student that forgot a lunch. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy during this pandemic.
As of this week D13 has twenty-two (22) documented COVID-19 cases, which includes over 1300 students and 200 staff members. That is an infection rate of under 1.5% compared to the county's 10.6% and the state's 12.5% positivity rate. DuJardin School and D13 are doing the right things to keep staff and students safe while at school. We are consistently following the 3 W's,
- Wear a mask
- Wash your hands
- Watch your distance (stay 6 feet apart)
The staff and students at DuJardin and D13 encourage you to do the same at home and out in the community.
