General Updates
Student Key Reminders:
- Grade Check: We highly encourage all families to log on to SISK12 and do a grade check as we head into Spring Break. Today marks the halfway point in the semester. Students, please use this break to catch up! Come back from break with a fresh start. If you find yourself needing extra help or a quiet place to work, please attend after-school assist.
- After-School Assist: Free tutoring offered for all students Monday - Thursday - more information
- Tardies: The first hour bell rings at 7:20 AM, meaning if you are not in the classroom at 7:20 AM, that is a tardy. Unexcused late arrivals are treated the same as tardies. Three tardies equal one after-school detention.

WSD Board of Education Town Hall
The WSD Board of Education Town Hall is a 100% student-run forum that aims to educate the constituents of the Wentzville School District about the Board of Education Candidates. The live-streamed event will take place on Tuesday, March 29 at 6 p.m.
If you have any questions you would like to submit, please click the link below.
Last year's 2021 Town Hall garnered more than 6,800 views on Youtube and greatly assisted voters in making informed decisions. We would like to continue this into 2022 and encourage even more of the Wentzville community to participate in local elections.

Activity Spotlight: Garden Club
Happy Spring!
The Gardening Club is now running its spring fundraiser! We are selling a wonderful variety of plants that are sure to spruce up any yard, patio, or windowsill!
All funds will go towards the Gardening Club and the school garden.
Thank you for your support, please take a look at the Google Form below if you’re interested in buying plants!
If you don’t have a green thumb and worry about caring for your plant(s), don’t worry! Our gardening club members are here to help and we’d be happy to guide you through caring for your new plant companions! Please email Kenny at kennyhenk00@gmail.com if you have any plant questions. Ask for a plant pamphlet!
Ms. Sandy Pizzo is the Garden Club Sponsor (sandypizzo@wsdr4.org).
Donations Needed
Dear LHS Family,
Our industrial tech teachers are partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace - an organization that works to provide beds to children who don't have their own bed. The organization has mattresses to give the students and our CTSO (Career and Technical Organizations) at each school are participating in a bedding drive. We would like (as a district) to be able to donate 40 beds in a bag (or a sheet set and a comforter) and 40 pillows. We have a pillow circulating in the building to remind all of us how lucky we are to have a bed to sleep in. We appreciate the generosity that your department or club can provide.
Questions? Please email or visit: Rachel Ehlers (FBLA), Robin Taylor (DECA), Morgan Muench (DECA), Nicole McFadden (FCCLA), Sandy Pizzo (FCCLA), & Sarah Genebacher (EDUCATORS RISING)

Wentzville Liberty Winterguard competed at Francis Howell North last month and took first place in their round. In March, Winterguard took first place in Edwardville. This was for the MCCGA Winterguard Competition and their division was Scholastic A-Round One (against 5 other guards in their round). Overall (both rounds 1 and 2 combined), they also took 1st out of 12 in Scholastic AA.

CURRENT JUNIORS - IMPORTANT
Dear Junior Parents and Students:
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has mandated that the Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine (MCV4) be required for all 12th-grade students. All students starting 12th grade shall have two doses of MCV.
This vaccine is required prior to starting the first day of school for the 2022/2023 school year (even if your child will be enrolled in virtual school).
If your student has already received his/her shot for their senior year please fax or email an up-to-date record to the nurse’s office as soon as possible. This will ensure a much smoother transition into the new school year. If you are not sure if your student is up-to-date, please contact your child’s physician.
The St. Charles County & Warren County Health Departments have regular hours available by appointment if you can't get in to see your family doctor before the first day of school on August 24th. In addition to the health departments, children can be immunized at walk-in health clinics such as Walgreens, CVS, and Schnucks.

Warren: http://www.warrencountyhealth.com/health-services/immunizations/
Thank you for your attention to this important issue. Please contact the school nurse if you have any questions regarding this vaccine requirement.
Stay healthy,
Nurse Bridget
