Rolling Hills Elementary
Weekly Newsletter - October 25, 2019
Hello RHE families,
It has been an exciting week here at RHE. For Red Ribbon Week, the students have embraced the theme of each day about making healthy and safe choices. Thank you to Mrs. Aubel and Dr. Sandberg for organizing our weekly events.
Our annual Halloween festivities will begin with a parade on Thursday , October 31st starting at 2:30 p.m. Please see the letter Halloween Letter 2019 - RHE . Parents may cheer on our costumed students on the playground. For school security and safety reasons, parents who are coming for the parade are not permitted inside the school. Only those parents who are RHHSA Homeroom Liaisons will be permitted to help with the party. We love when parents come to the parade in costume; however, we ask that parents not wear masks that disguise their identity.
Please remember that costumes incorporating weapons and/or depicting violence are not appropriate to bring to school. Our school strives for a climate of non-violence. Additionally, we are strongly discouraging clown costumes.
In the event of rain, and alternate plan will be sent to families.
Tonight is Trunk or Treat for those families and students that registered through the RHHSA. Please see below for information. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Ruffenach for organizing tonight’s event.
Enjoy the weekend!
Sam

Families who are coming to trunk or treat can arrive at 6:30 and park in the regular school parking lot and walk around to the playground side.
Please remember this is not a drop off event and all students must be supervised by an adult.
The weather is perfect and we are looking forward to a great night!

Cell Phones
Student cell phones are to be used for emergency purposes only. Cell phones are not to be used in school or on school busses. Cell phones must be turned off and kept in the students' backpacks. Please be advised that the school is not responsible for damaged, lost, or stolen items.
In today's world, there are many reasons that students carry cellular telephones, but we have to collectively remind students about their appropriate use. Please see the Student-Parent Handbook for more information.
