School Uniforms
By Jason Park
Are school dress codes really benefictional for the students?
School uniforms originate in the military and popular private schools. But more and more public schools have been using the uniform policy. The uniform policy is different for each school, but the most common one is boys must wear khaki pants and a solid color polo shirt, and for girls a skirt and a solid color polo as well. Dress code is another form of the uniform policy but usually not as strict. Dress code is a code and it tells us what can be worn and what cannot be worn. School uniforms should not be in public schools because it takes away students way to express themselves through clothing. Another reason why is should not be in public schools is that it may be expensive for the parent.

School uniforms should not in schools because they can be expensive for the parent. They also take away a student's ability to express themselves through clothing. It also makes students targets for bullies from other schools(Wilde). School uniforms can be uncomfortable for students who have sensitive skin. Many students also come from a low income family so they only have one uniform and they could be forced to wear that single uniform every school day. School uniforms should be banned.
