What an amazing turnout last night for Open House! We loved seeing our families in person and our students were so happy to show off their work.
If your child is a bus rider, we want to let you know about some Jackson bus changes. To accommodate the increasing student enrollment at Jackson and to alleviate bus overcrowding (834 and 814), one additional bus route, 807, has been added for Jackson. To balance loads, changes were also made to route 707, 814, 827, and 834. If your child will be affected by any of these changes, you should have received a notice at Open House. The notice was sent home with your student today if you could not attend. An email through School Messenger will also be sent to all families affected by the bus route changes. Changes will be effective when students return to school on Monday, March 14. If you have any questions, the District's bus route finder has been updated with the new routes as of today.

Due to the weather closures on February 3rd, 4th and 24th, Plano ISD will now use 2 inclement weather days to meet the state-required 75,600 instructional minutes per school year. Originally scheduled as student/teacher holidays, Monday, March 14, and Monday, April 18, will now be instructional days.
Due to having school on March 14, the last day for the 3rd nine-week grading period will be March 14 instead of March 4. Any secondary schedule changes made for the 4th nine-weeks must have a start date of March 15 to prevent any problems with 3rd nine-week grades.
Spring and Class Picture Day has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 24. Please see below for more details.
We want to congratulate our Youth Artists of the Month and our Jaguars of the Month listed below. It is so inspiring to see the way our students are developing their talents, their knowledge, and character. Way to Shine, Jaguars!
Have a relaxing and fun Spring Break! We will see our students back at school on Monday, March 14.
Thank you,
Kamili Carthledge, Assistant Principal

Plano ISD COVID Response
Plano ISD will continue to share information and keep families informed of any changes/updates to PISD's COVID-19 Response. At this time, the District will stay with a 10-day quarantine period and there are no revisions to the mask policy below.
The use of face masks is optional for all students, staff and visitors. It is recommended that individuals who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 continue to wear an appropriate face mask while around others. Universal indoor masking is recommended for all teachers, staff, students and visitors to K-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status (Collin County Health Care Services | Centers for Disease Control and Prevention | American Academy of Pediatrics).
The latest information regarding PISD’s COVID-19 Response and other important health information can be found on their website at http://pisd.edu/covid.
Parents,
Masks are recommended at school and although we do have some on hand for students who forget theirs, we are running out quickly and cannot provide them every day. Please be sure to send your child to school with a mask if you prefer for them to wear one. Thank you for your help with this.

Important Carpool Procedures
Hi parents,
We need your help with carpool drop off and pick up procedures. We have a very efficient system for carpool if everyone does their part. Please follow these reminders:
- Students need to be dropped off 7:00-7:30 (cafeteria stops serving at 7:30) so they have time to get breakfast if needed and get to their class before the tardy bell. Teachers take students to class at 7:30 from the gym.
- You may park in the parking lot if you need to walk your child up or help them get in/out of the car, but please DO NOT park on the street and cross the street and carpool lane to take your child to the car. It is not safe. The line after school is clear in about 10 minutes after kids get called.
- If your child needs help getting in/out of the car or they need to get in on the driver's side, please pull over to the parking lot so it is safe and you can help them rather than holding up the line.
- The teacher must know how the child is going home. If they are a "walker" that means they are walking home alone or you are walking up to the ramp to get them and walk them home or to the car. If they are "carpool" please do not walk up to get them unless you have already told the teacher they will be a "walker" from now on. There are different dismissal processes for these 2 groups of kids.
- Please leave your carpool tag in your window until your child is in your car. We need to see it to put the name in our group text to call the child and we need to see it again at the front to make sure the right child gets in the car.
- After your child gets into the car, you can pull into the left lane to exit the loop if the car in front of you is not ready.
Thank you for helping us keep our kids safe!
